Who we are
The Pour is a labor of love, sparked by creativity and built on connection. Founded by mom-and-daughter duo Lexi and Monica, what began as a spontaneous idea quickly turned into a shared passion project.
Lexi, currently pursuing her MBA at Marquette University, has always been drawn to meaningful experiences and the way scent can bring people together. Monica, recently retired after over 20 years in healthcare, saw this venture as a chance to support her daughter’s dream—and to create something beautiful side by side.
Together, they hand-pour every candle with intention, crafting each scent to stir memories, spark comfort, and light up your space with joy. At The Pour, it’s not just about candles—it’s about connection, creativity, and the little moments that make us feel at home

We choose soy wax because it’s clean-burning, eco-friendly, and made from a renewable resource (hellooo, soybeans!). Unlike paraffin, soy wax doesn’t release harmful toxins into the air, making it a safer option for you and your space. It also has a longer burn time, so you get to enjoy your candle—and its scent—for even more cozy moments. Plus, we love that it gives our pours a creamy, smooth finish that feels just as good as it smells.

To get that dreamy, even burn every time, always trim your wick to about ¼ inch before lighting. On your first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar—this helps prevent tunneling and sets your candle up for success. Burn in 3–4 hour sessions max, and always keep your candle on a flat, heat-safe surface. A little care = a longer, cleaner, cozier glow.

Don’t worry—your candle hasn’t lost its magic! Sometimes the nose just gets used to a scent, especially when it’s been lingering in the space for a while (it’s called “nose blindness” and it’s totally normal). Try leaving the room for a bit, or burn a different scent to reset your senses. Also, make sure you’re trimming your wick regularly and letting the wax pool fully—it all helps with scent throw!
